Sushi Recipe
Sushi is a very popular dish, known around the world! This dish consists of fish, rice and vegetables. There are so many different flavours to choose from. We even add chicken to our sushi.
Your job is to watch the provided video and write out the recipe for it. Try make sure that you get all of the ingredients, as well as write out the steps that need to be taken to make it.
Ingredients
1 ½ cups sushi rice
½ tsp salt
3 Tbsp sushi vinegar
4 nori sheets
1 bamboo sushi mat
160 g can Wattie’s Shredded Chicken with Lite Mayo
1 avocado, halved, stoned, peeled and chopped
1 small carrot, cut into thin strips
Wasabi and soy sauce (optional)
Method
1. Wash rice under cold water
2. Put rice in a pot with 2 ½ cups of water and ½ teaspoon of salt
3. Cook for 12 minutes
4. Once cooked, stir with the sushi vinegar and put on tray to cool
5. Place the nori on the bamboo mat correctly
6. Spread rice over nori paper with wet hand
7. Put chicken and mayo down on the middle of the rice and add veggies neatly on top of it
8. Roll the sushi by using the bamboo mat
9. Wrap in glad wrap and let cool for awhile
10. Cut and serve with soy sauce or wasabi and enjoy
